James Corden Invited Viral Subway Singing Sensation Mike Yung To Perform On ‘The Late Late Show’

Mike Yung gained plenty of attention when a video of him singing “Unchained Melody” on a New York subway platform went viral, gaining nearly 40 million views in a week. Thanks to the video, James Corden decided to help Yung upgrade his performance a bit by flying him out west to The Late Late Show for a true performance in front of the studio audience.

Yung certainly has the pipes, even bringing a little tear to Reggie Watts’ eyes after the performance. It’s another happy moment for some viral superstar made possible by Corden, similar to what he managed to pull off with Chewbacca Mom back before she ALLEGEDLY stole that ape and robbed that bank in Colorado. Tragedy.

Yung is also on Twitter as you can see at the end of the Late Late Show clip, which is also where Yung revealed that he just recorded his cover of “Unchained Melody” and it will be on streaming soon enough.

The subway singer joins a long line of viral stars that have gone from the streets to having some success. For Yung, it seems well deserved at the moment and he genuinely seems to be enjoying the bit of notoriety he’s getting for his voice. Hopefully we don’t soon get flooded with horror stories about his past or something worse.
