Rhye’s Mike Milosh knows this and makes music that is bolstered from a timeless sense of nostalgia, and on new single “Song For You,” he makes a tune that delves straight into music as memories.
“We fell in love,” he sings on the new track from Rhye’s upcoming sophomore album Blood, adding, “I’ll play this song for you.” Music is an act of love for Rhye, and within this track, the acts of playing music, sharing songs, and being in love become almost unextractable from each other. Rhye wants to create music not just about the act of falling in love, but that can soundtrack the act of falling in love. It’s music that could lodge itself in your brain and be tied to a moment forever. In the most strict sense, “Song For You” wants to be timeless.
