Now It Appears Taylor Swift Knew Kanye West Recorded Their Conversation Months Ago

And the plot thickens.

So first there was Kim Kardashian’s Snapchat onslaught Sunday night, proving that Taylor Swift did know about her inclusion in Kanye West’s song “Famous,” something she had previously denied or at the very least, said she wasn’t in favor of.

Then there was Swift’s response on Instagram, captioned “That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.”

Now comes a report from TMZ, in which they claim to have obtained a copy of a letter from Swift’s lawyer that heavily implies the moment Swift referred to might have not been Sunday night, but actually as a far back as February, when the letter was sent to West’s lawyer.

According to TMZ, the letter pretty clearly states that “under California law, anyone who secretly records a telephone conversation with someone in the state commits a criminal offense… and it’s a felony.” It goes on with the strongly worded request that “Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated.”

It seems like said demand was not exactly met by West, as we all witnessed Sunday night. While it seems that a lawsuit was threatened, it doesn’t appear that it was carried out, at least not yet. We’ll all have to stay tuned for that one.
