A blown call in a state championship basketball game has prompted two state lawmakers to draft legislation that would require future high school games to use instant replay

House Speaker Pro Tem Doug Smith and Rep. Harold Mitchell's bill would require the South Carolina High School League to use instant replay to resolve disputed plays in football and basketball playoff games.

"Those kids played their hearts out only to have human error steal it away from them," said Mitchell, D-Spartanburg. "We want to make sure neither our high school, nor any other high school has to go through anything like this again."

Because we can legislate away our children's pain. Fuck you, sir. Young people in your jurisdiction will have to get their dreams crushed like everyone else's in this country. First of all, the National Federation of blah blah that governs high school sports has banned replay. Secondly, hey, shit happens. Some folks will never miss a call but then again some folk'll.
