The back-and-forth between John Oliver and his arch-nemesis, former FIFA official Jack Warner, took an interesting turn on Sunday night. If you recall, it was Oliver who delivered the first knockout in the heavyweight bout with a parody of Warner’s “The Gloves Are Off” video.
Warner, who is facing an indictment for his role in the FIFA corruption scandal, responded Friday with a video of his own telling Oliver, “I do not need any advice from any comedian fool.”
Of course, Oliver didn’t take that lightly and delivered a fiery response. Literally. He actually brought pyrotechnics into the studio.
Suffice it to say, that’s the ending this fight deserved. Well done John Oliver.
