Another wild college football Saturday reached its bonkers apex before the evening games had really gotten going, as Kansas somehow pulled off a miraculous come-from-behind victory over Texas and defeated the Longhorns by a final score of 24-21. This is the sort of football upset that only happens once a generation (or two).
Texas coach Charlie Strong’s job was already in jeopardy heading into this game, but now his butt is about to experience a climate change, as the hot seat just got a whole hell of a lot hotter. How you feeling about that, Chuck?
Yeah, but —
Texas is now 1-17 when trailing at halftime under Charlie Strong.

Oh, okay.
Just how long had it been since the Jayhawks had scored a victory over the Longhorns? Nearly eighty years. That’s how long.
That's Kansas' first win over Texas since 1938.

That means there were people who were in the prime of their life who vividly remembered the Cubs’ 1908 World Series victory when Kansas last defeated Texas. But wait: the Longhorns’ ability to blow this game was even more thunderously absurd and painful than you’re already thinking.
The most painful part of the Strong post game presser.

Texas didn't just lose to Kansas. It blew a 21-10 lead in a little more than half a quarter. With the best RB in CFB this season.

D'Onta Foreman carried the ball 51 damn times and lost.

In a strange, baffling new world where Notre Dame is bad and Texas is dropping Ls to Kansas, CFB experts are beginning to question everything they thought they knew.

Kansas' two wins this year are over Rhode Island and Texas, the two biggest states in the nation

Hey, remember when Texas-Notre Dame was the best game of opening weekend? Now look where we are….

We’re through the looking glass here, people. The only thing that could out-nuts this is if Chattanooga manages to topple Alabama. (Oh please, oh please.)
