JerseyCurseGate lasted all of three days. After it was reported that a construction worker left a Red Sox shirt in the foundation of the new Yankee Stadium, Yankees management hired a crew to jackhammer for five hours in search of the offending garment. Definitely a good use of $50,000.
In an additional, extremely sensible twist, the Yankees are looking at legal action against the offending Sox fan.
"I spoke with a [prosecutor]. There may be criminal issues," Yankee Chief Operating Officer Lonn Trost said. Trost speculated that Castignoli could be on the hook for criminal mischief. […]
Trost said that even if Castignoli ends up safe from charges, "we're thinking of a civil case, looking for money damages."
Wow, just when I didn't think the Boston-New York rivalry couldn't get any gayer and dumber. Sheesh. Just get it over with and fuck already.
