Saturday night is going to be huge for former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, as it will mark the first time that she has hosted Saturday Night Live. Rousey discussed the circumstances surrounding how she came to host the show, and if our math is right, she accepted the invitation some time on November 15 of last year.

We know this because Rousey said that she accepted the show’s invite right after she fell to Holly Holm at UFC 193, saying that the only other things she had to do were “eat ice cream and cry” after getting knocked out for the first time in her MMA career.

“My initial reaction was like ‘Yes, let’s do it’,” Rousey told UFC.com. “I found out right after the fight and it was the first thing I was really thinking of doing besides eating ice cream and crying.”

Rousey also discussed how much pressure she’s under hosting SNL for the first time. While she did admit that she is nervous heading into the episode, which will feature musical guest Selena Gomez, Rousey said that hosting a tv show isn’t the most difficult thing in the world when you fight people for a living.

“Everyone’s like, ‘Are you scared? Are you nervous?’ I’m like, ‘yeah, I’m nervous,'” Rousey said. “But, I mean, no one’s trying to kill me, so the worst that can happen is I suck.”
