It Looks Like A Musical Production Of ‘The O.C.’ Is In The Works

Early in the week, we reported on Perez Hilton’s plans to star in the off-Broadway production of Full House! The Musical! This stage presentation of the about to be revived series isn’t the only item of entertainment nostalgia being transformed for the stage. Hot on the heels of Cruel Intentions: The Musical, the production team of writer/director Jordan Ross and producer Lindsey Rosin are bringing Fox’s classic (?) teen drama The O.C. — which ran from 2003 – 2007 — to life for a one-night-only musical event.

So far, the only roles cast for the stage show have been Luke Ward, Kirsten Cohen and the show’s creator Josh Schwartz. From that news alone, it seems that this play is aiming to break the fourth wall. No set theater location has been announced as of yet, but The O.C. musical will be happening in Los Angeles on August 30.
