By now, you’ve probably seen or at least heard about Zach Galifianakis’s opening monologue for this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” (full video below). It was all the cool kids were talking about it on the Twitter on Saturday night. All the cool kids who were watching “SNL” instead of going out with friends, I mean.

But it really is a fantastic seven minutes of comedy. Every detail is pitch-perfect, from Zach slapping the bassist’s ass when enters, to alpaca message boards, to the way he added a groin-grab to “HERE COMES THE CHOO-CHOO!”, to announcing that Hoobastank was the musical guest. This is what happens when someone besides Seth Meyers is responsible for writing the monologue.

As for the rest of the episode… eh, let’s just be thankful we got the monologue, okay?
