Most of the ladies of Archer surprised fans this week with some of their own special photos for the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. I say “most of” because there was a stunning lack of Mallory Archer, displaying a disturbing look of ageism by the annual celebration of beauty and hand bras, and the missing image of Katya Kazanova tells us that we still have a long way to go before semi-nude, hobo-skinned cyborgs are accepted in modern society. It’s 2016, people. She might wash her genitalia in the sink, but she breathes our same air, okay?
That said, it was a glamourous look at Lana Kane and Cheryl Tunt, but the real star in my opinion was the always amazing and truly exceptional Pam Poovey. An HR director by day and fight club champion by night (among plenty of other vices), Pam is in a league of her own when it comes to the women of Archer. Sure, Lana may have finally secured Sterling Archer’s heart after giving birth to their daughter, but Pam rocked the ultimate spy’s world in the most disgusting ways. She’s nasty and she owns it, damn it, and she’s certainly not ashamed of who she is.
Because we appreciate Pam more than anyone, we were lucky enough to get our hands on two more exclusive images of the Poovey Farms proprietor from the SI shoot.
Now that’s a mountain I wouldn’t mind climbing, only to be lost for days and suffer from dehydration and dementia before being rescued by a pack of St. Bernards.
Wait, where was I? Oh yes, Archer returns for sweet, sweet, Magnum P.I.-inspired season seven action on March 31.
