Jerry Seinfeld decided that the time had finally come to show David Letterman what it is like to be a guest on his own talk show. As Letterman points out, he’s been a guest on other shows before. My favorite was his appearance on Late Night soon after Conan had taken it over. He’s made multiple appearances, but that was good enough to make Conan’s anniversary show.
Anyway, the tables got turned here with Seinfeld taking the spot behind the desk and Letterman sitting on the big comfy interview chair. It then devolves into a discussion about retirement and why it is even a topic that Letterman is debating.
Seinfeld also performed his first stand up set on the Late Show stage, a nice treat for fans and a nice tribute for Letterman before he’s gone forever (to frisbee up the dog).
