Joel McHale’s Upcoming Weekly Netflix Show Gets A New Teaser And A Guest List

Last month, Netflix revealed Community star Joel McHale would be returning to his The Soup roots with a new weekly series. Appropriately titled The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale, the new green-screened program was billed as “a half-hour topical series that takes a sharp, absurdist look at pop culture and news from across the globe.” Among other things, the initial press release indicated McHale’s show would “[feature] celebrity guests, comedy sketches and insane video clips from the worldwide realms of TV, sports, politics, celebrity culture, and every corner of the internet.”

Aside from a first teaser and a premiere date set for Sunday, February 18th, however, the streaming giant offered no other details about McHale’s post-A Futile and Stupid Gesture effort. Or, at least that was the case until today when they dropped a second teaser, some new key art, and the first episode’s guest list online. The comedian yet again finds himself in front of the recognizable green screen, except he’s also wearing all-green clothes — resulting in a kaleidoscopic barrage of occasionally NSFW media being plastered across his person.

“You guys just superimposed a bunch of dicks on me, didn’t you?” he asks the crew. When The Joel McHale Show hits Netflix on February 18th, he’ll be joined by fellow Community alums Alison Brie and Jim Rash, as well as Kevin Hart, Mike Colter, Paul Reiser, and Jodie Sweetin. Whether they will be able to help him find out who drew the dicks, however, remains to be seen. Netflix subscribers can find out here when the show premieres.
