Kate McKinnon And Alec Baldwin Will Face Off In A Clinton Vs. Trump Debate On ‘Saturday Night Live’

Margot Robbie and Kate McKinnon are already partying like crazy in preparation for the October 1 premiere of the 42nd season of Saturday Night Live. And McKinnon should have a little fun before the weekend hits, because the Emmy winner’s run as Hillary Clinton is about to hit the home stretch ahead of the November election. And while Darrell Hammond has usually been SNL’s go-to guy for Donald Trump impressions for many years, Lorne Michaels and co. are bringing in the big guns for the season premiere’s very special Clinton vs. Trump debate parody.

As we can see in the brand new teaser, Alec Baldwin will be playing Trump across from McKinnon, and if he’s as good with The Donald’s voice and mannerisms as he is with Robert De Niro or especially Tony Bennett, then the man who played Jack Donaghy (and possibly inspired Trump’s campaign*) should be a home run. Of course, as we all already know, SNL has a huge uphill battle ahead with the remainder of the 2016 presidential election, because this thing is already a massive joke on its own. So, Baldwin and McKinnon better be bringing something truly YUGE and spectacular to the debate stage on Saturday, or else it could be met with a worse reaction than the actual debate.

*He’s Jack Donaghy, damn it.
