What’s On Tonight: ‘The Good Place’ Ends And ‘Altered Carbon’ Sleeves Up

NBC

The Good Place (NBC, 8:30 p.m.) – Michael and Janet make their case to Judge Jen in the season two finale tonight. Hopefully the architect and Busty Alexa can convince Maya Rudolph’s character to show leniency and not condemn Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason to eternal damnation but with this show, you just never know.

Altered Carbon (Netflix) – Netflix’s latest original is a crossover between a dystopian sci-fi, a murder mystery, a noir detective and a cyber-punk drama. Set hundreds of years in the future, the show follows a guy named Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman) who has sleeved (a.k.a body swapped) through centuries trying to wage a revolution against society’s elites, people called Meths whose extreme wealth and ability to live forever has turned them into cruel tyrants who lord over the poor. It’s … a lot, but the world-building and visual styling will probably be enough to keep you interested.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC, 8:00 p.m.) – Bailey is pushed to the breaking point after Ben makes his decision to become a Seattle firefighter and the stress of managing the hospital becomes too much.

Supernatural (CW, 8:00 p.m.) – After Dean falls victim to a couple of witches who manage to steal a powerful spell book from the Winchester brothers, a surprising ally returns from the dead to help them retrieve it.

Superstore (NBC, 8:00 p.m.) – Amy doesn’t feel ready to jump into the dating pool again but when Mateo tries to set her up with loser cousin, she takes it upon herself to find someone better and prove to her co-workers that she’s still got it.

The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8:00 p.m.) – Wil Wheaton invites Amy, not Sheldon, to appear on his Professor Proton show and Penny isn’t a fan of the heroine in Leonard’s novel.

The Four: Battle for Stardom (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) – More challengers arrive to threaten The Four.

Young Sheldon (CBS, 8:30 p.m.) – Sheldon becomes a bit of a germaphobe in order to avoid getting the flu.

Arrow (CW, 9:00 p.m.) – Oliver and Dinah have a major argument about how to handle Cayden James which results in one of their own being put in danger.

Scandal (ABC, 9:00 p.m.) – The team holds a much-need intervention for Olivia.

Will & Grace (NBC, 9:00 p.m.) – A closeted boyfriend challenges Jack’s intimacy issues while Will and Grace sell their new line of bedding on TV.

Mom (CBS, 9:00 p.m.) – Bonnie forbids Adam from loaning Christy money when her car suddenly dies.

Life in Pieces (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) — When Greg and Jen’s crazy neighbors invite them to a party, Greg makes up a lie so they can get out of attending.

A.P. Bio (NBC, 9:30 p.m.) – This new comedy stars Glenn Howerton and Patton Oswalt, with Howerton playing a failed psychology professor who’s forced to teach A.P. Bio to a group of high school kids after his rival takes his dream job.

Chicago Fire (NBC, 10:00 p.m.) — After responding to a time-sensitive rescue, Casey and Severide don’t see eye to eye on the best course of action and Herrmann struggles to entertain his daughter on “bring your child to work day.”

How to Get Away With Murder (ABC, 10:00 p.m.) – Annalise has to deal with a problematic plaintiff in her class action suit and Laurel’s past catches up to her.

S.W.A.T. (CBS, 10:00 p.m.) – Hondo’s team partners with FBI agents to track down a militant group threatening to weaponized cyanide in a planned domestic terror attack.
