What’s On Tonight: ‘The Big Bang Theory’ And ‘NCIS’ Team Up To Destroy ‘Community’

Community (NBC, 8 p.m.) — Season premiere. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive. From the AV Club: “The amazing and exciting truth is that Community has steered out of the skid.” From Sepinwall: “Community is back, and back to being itself.” From me: “Remember when Jeff wore track pants in the pilot? That was weird.”

The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8 p.m.) — Penny tries to land a role on NCIS. CBS isn’t just trying to crush NBC — it wants to crush NBC, then shoot, burn, freeze, strangle, hang, and catapult its corpse into space.

Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma vs. Alabama (ESPN, 8:30 p.m.) — Follow Burnsy on Twitter. In-between musings on dogs, boogers, and dog boogers, he’ll probably be tweeting about this game.

Elementary (CBS, 10 p.m.) — Ten million Brits watched Sherlock last night. But they didn’t get to see Natalie Dormer, who appears on tonight’s Elementary, so…U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A. (For real, though, it was great.)

Steven Seagal Lawman (Reelz, 10 p.m.) — Season premiere. Still waiting on Mojo Priest, Vol. 2.
