The Newest ‘X-Files’ Trailer Finally Reveals What The Show Will Be About: Monsters and Creepy Kids

If you’re ready to believe again with Mulder and Scully, you’ll want to check out the latest trailer for the X-Files event series that will soon come to a television near you. No giant spoilers here (not even plot points, really), but there is a whole lot of creepy imagery. And considering that the ad is only 30 seconds long (which is just enough time to indoctrinate you into buying only Coke products via subliminal messages), it’s well worth your time. Even if you’re not yet sold on the show making a comeback.

Here’s what we know about the series so far, via Slashfilm:

We know that something convinces David Duchovny‘s Fox Mulder to dive back into the world of paranormal investigation and that he drags Gillian Anderson‘s Dana Scully along for the ride. We know to expect the return of Mitch Pileggi‘s Agent Skinner, William B. Davis‘ Smoking Man, and the Lone Gunmen. We know that Joel McHale and Robbie Amell have joined the cast as new characters. We know that the truth is still out there, to trust no one, etc.

We also know that the show is not a reboot.

But what do we know now that we’ve seen the trailer? Well, a couple of things: there are monsters, there’s a possible monster love story, and there are way more creepy kids in one place than need to be on TV at the same time. Basically, we know nothing except that some disturbing stuff is going to happen. But hey, that’s enough for me to tune in. What about you?
