SportsCenter compiled a handful of raw reactions from Auburn and Alabama fans watching the greatest Iron Bowl in history from the comforts of their own homes. And as one would expect, the range of emotions are as dynamic as humanly possible. One guy even begins speaking in tongues.
Look, I don’t know what’s going on in Auburn. Perhaps Cam Newton rescued a baby from a burning building in the offseason and good karma’s coming back to repay his alma mater and himself tenfold with their current season successes. Or maybe God wants us all to see Charles Barkley gloat for three hours straight when Inside The NBA airs next Thursday.
Whatever the case, the fact of the matter is Auburn has been involved in the two wildest plays of the college football season all within the same month. We’re going to remember where we were and what we were doing when Chris Davis became an instant living legend taking Adam Griffith’s missed 57-yard field goal endzone-to-endzone. Bo Jackson referred to it as “the most incredible sporting event I’ve ever seen in my life.” Truth be told, it’s probably near the apex of anything any of us has seen, too.
Regardless, what a f*ckin’ finish. Here I was thinking only the Dallas Cowboys lose games like that.
Bonus: I’m going to go out on a limb and say Chris Davis’ Saturday night probably went something like this.
And his morning like this…
