Ooooohhhhh — sh*t just got real, y’all: Anonymous says it’s going to start revealing the identities of people affiliated with a violent Mexican drug cartel unless one of their own, who was recently captured by the cartel, gets turned over to them unharmed.
Anonymous, a group behind numerous noteworthy hackings around the world, said it will post the identities and addresses of the Zeta cartel’s members – many of whom are corrupt cops, taxi drivers and seemingly ordinary citizens and businesses, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Anonymous posted a video on YouTube featuring a man in a suit wearing the group’s signature mask.
“You made a huge mistake by taking one of us. Release him,” says the masked Anonymous member in the video. “We cannot defend ourselves with a weapon … but we can do this with their cars, homes, bars, brothels and everything else in their possession … It won’t be difficult — we all know who they are and where they are located.”
Here’s the aforementioned video…
I have to say, this is beyond badass. And it’s supposed to go down the same day they said they were gonna take down the Fox News website, although they may have already gotten started. Just watch out for the homemade tanks, dudes — they pack much more bite than Bill O’Reilly does.
