One of the joys of this blogging life is reading an endless amount of nonsensical rumors about superhero and comic book movies every day, because if there’s a character that has been drawn, the Internet will cast him or her for a movie that will probably never be made. But what do we make of a new Super Friends story that managed to slip through the Mountain Dew-soaked fingers of us online rumor mongers and come directly from a studio? It has to be true then, right?
That’s the question we’re all asking today after the folks at Midtown Comics in New York Tweeted a picture of a promotional poster for a Wonder Twins movie starring Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis that was sent to them by Warner Bros. They even Tweeted a follow-up picture of the tube that the poster came in to make sure that we knew that if it is a hoax, it’s a hoax coming from the studio.
Several sites, like Coming Soon and io9, have pointed out that this could be the beginning of a creative marketing stunt for the Entourage movie, as the HBO series featured a fictional Aquaman movie, and this Wonder Twins poster could be playing off of that. If that is the case, Kate Upton as Wonder Woman, please and thank you in advance.
