This is the singularly most relaxing video on the internet since the “F*ck That” meditation tape made the rounds in early July. The soothing visuals in this short film, called “The Color of Feelings,” are presented by videographer Thomas Blanchard.
The clip is so beautiful that it almost appears computer generated, but the quality is so high that it must be real. Blanchard aims to draw out his viewers’ emotions by inspiring people with the beauty of swirling paint and oil. He also added milk, honey, and cinnamon for a greater effect. The end result is a swirling, whirling visual composition that paints itself like an appealing Rorschach test.
In his video description, Blanchard presents “an experimental dreamlike video rocking us smoothly through circular moves.” He captions his video’s intentions as such: “It is also an analogy of feelings such as anger, love, sadness and joy; they mix and eventually ease.”
