If you’ve been trying to come up with the perfect mean tweet to send to Donald Trump, I suggest you stop right now. Why? Because Trump’s people are not having it with your clever internet threats. Namely, Trump’s senior advisor Daniel Scavino, who has been sending tweets that he deems offensive to the Secret Service. Although, what he’s doing — that we can see — is retweeting tweets that threaten bodily harm to the presidential candidate and mentioning the accounts for the President of the United States (@POTUS) and the Secret Service. He could also be actually calling in the threats, and at this point, considering that he works for Donald Trump, he probably is.
Gawker got screencaps of the RTs, so there’s no trying to walk this one back. Donald Trump has admitted to having a thin skin when it comes to criticism while simultaneously having a thick skin, but if they can’t handle a little bit of internet trolling… Does he even know what kinds of threats the actual president gets? Because last I checked, people are pretty much constantly calling for President Obama’s head. And as far as he’s concerned, he can’t be bothered. Because he’s busy. Leading the free world.
Trumpy, if you’re going to be president, you’re going to have to put up with a lot worse than Twitter meanies with nothing better to do. There’s a whole, wide world of terrible out there that you’re going to have to deal with if you’re president. Like poor people.
