BBC News live-streamed video from a camera strapped onto an eagle flying around the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Dubbed the tallest man-made structure in the world, the Burj Khalifa is a really, really tall skyscraper. So try not to freak out while watching the video above. Or don’t watch it. (You should totally watch it.)
According to BBC News, the live-stream was done to promote an animal rights organization:
The organisers, Freedom Conservation, claim it is the highest-ever recorded bird flight from a man-made structure.
The event was staged to highlight the plight of the endangered bird of prey.
The eagle’s name is Darshan, because he’s suave as f*ck. Seriously –he’s just being an eagle, flying about and being awesome. Meanwhile, those of us whose biology leaves us on the ground (minus the occasional flights of fancy in giant steel birds) can only watch the video and scream incoherently.
