It’s lunchtime on a Friday before a holiday. Let’s get silly.
SsethTzeentach made the video below, a completely accurate depiction of the excitement of playing Farming Simulator 2011, a real game which actually exists. I don’t know which is stranger, that this game was made in 2011 yet looks like a rejected title from 2003, or that it costs twenty freaking dollars. The game also allows you to play with “authentic agricultural machines by DEUTZ-FAHR, KRONE, HORSCH, PĂ–TTINGER and VOGEL & NOOT”. That’s advertised as a feature. I grew up in Iowa with a damn corn field in the back yard, but I’ve only heard of one of those companies. You may as well be shouting the names of various vegetables at me in German and Swedish.
The video made me giggle like a lunatic. It’s probably NSFW (swearword subtitles), but some guy assured me it was realistic: “As a real life farmer, this is legit.” Thanks, anonymous YouTube commenter. You’ve got our backs.
Check out “Farming Simulator Mad Skill | No Plow | 360 Crop Rotation” below to see how #SWAG this game is. Maybe you’re saying, “Pfft, I already knew about it, fool. I’ve got all the achievements.” Well then, you need to prestige. DO IT.
