In this video, two guys seem to be having a relaxing day fishing in a rowboat as they’re carried gently down the river, the cameraman crooning along to Merle Haggard. Things take a sudden turn for the “Houston, we have a problem,” however, when the singing dude’s buddy realizes that “it goes down.” I had to watch a second time to fully understand what “it goes down” means, but it appears the river is about to drop off a level, and by the time they realize it, the boat is just inches away.
Unfortunately, the camera cuts off before the exciting conclusion, but given the fact that video evidence made it out alive, I have to assume the two dudes did, as well. A reminder to always read maps and signage very thoroughly.
