Lily, the Golden Retriever in this video, wasn’t feeling well, so when her owners took her to the vet, it was discovered that she had a tumor on her spleen. They were told she had hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive canine cancer, that, without surgery, she would only have hours to live. Even with surgery, there was only a 10 percent chance she’d be cancer-free and would likely only last a couple of months, best-case scenario.
One 6-pound (!) tumor removed and one week later, the vet called with Lily’s test results. This is Lily’s human breaking the news to her. Thankfully, it looks like Lily will live on to be mindlessly and extraordinarily happy about many other things before it’s her time.
