One of the benefits of knowing some people who know some people is that when you go to events like Comic-Con you can ask to have your name put on lists. Sometimes this works, sometime it doesn’t. I unfortunately wasn’t able to get weird with Kurp at the Playboy-True Blood party but I did have the chance to stop by IGN’s Expendables 2 party and take in the sights.
I went in envisioning photos of myself with Sly on one side and Arnold on the other, followed by Terry Crews tossing me in the pool for no reason whatsoever. Alas, this did not happen. But here are five items of note — starting with the life size 3D poster above — I thought I’d share so everyone can feel like they spent a few hours sipping Knuckle-Tinis on the roof of the Hard Rock.

I never heard if there were any later appearances (I had to check out early so I could wake up and stand in line with packs of geeks) but I saw Dolph hang out for roughly fifteen minutes in a booth surrounded by security. Thanks to the barrier between us I didn’t achieve my lifelong dream of talking the He-Man movie with him.
