Last week will undoubtedly go down as the week that Justin Bieber owned the news cycle for being arrested in Miami, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone that certain parties involved with the Canadian pop sensation’s lowest moment might have been looking to profit. For example, you might remember the aspiring model that was a passenger in Bieber’s car when he was arrested for DUI and other such charges that are now apparently falling apart. Her name? Chantel Jeffries. Remember it, because she’s going to be famous one way or another.
According to Page Six, one of the ways that Jeffries wanted to become famous was by telling her perspective of mommy’s swaggy little pill-popper’s arrest to all of the big TV “news” shows like Good Morning America, Today and Inside Edition, among others. The price for this Kim Kardashian Klone to spill the beans? $20,000 and a constant reminder that she’s trying to be a model.
One source said, “She hired an attorney and was negotiating a deal with the weekly magazines and the big TV shows. She wanted $20,000 plus a guaranteed mention of her modeling career.”
Another insider tells us, “Chantel was talking to all the networks, but they refused to pay her. Yesterday [Monday] she abruptly pulled out of all the discussions.” (Via Page Six)
That’s because she took off to Panama with Bieber to get away from all of his troubles, as he’s also now reportedly selling his Calabasas house thanks to the cops raiding his home because he allegedly egged his neighbor’s home. So will Jeffries ever find a buyer for her story that will presumably include tidbits like, “I was checking my makeup” and “You should check out my Instagram account, you guys”? No chance, girl.
