In case you were wondering after Robin Williams’ death if this week could get worse: yes, it can. But now it’s super-duper worse because the great Lauren Bacall, who the Internet would have been SO obsessed with if Tumblr (and, um, computers) had been around in the 1950s, died at the age of 89.
A family member tells us Bacall had a massive stroke Tuesday morning at her home. She married [Humphrey] Bogart in 1945 and they were together until his death in 1957. Bacall married Jason Robards in 1961. They divorced in 1969. Bacall had 3 children. (Via)
Hey, famous people whose movies I like a lot: people stop dying. (But seriously, if you haven’t seen The Big Sleep, To Have and Have Not, Dark Passage, or the sweatiest movie of all-time, Key Largo, do so. They’re great, and Bacall gives such a commanding performance in all of them.)
