Hey, Ohio. Haven’t seen you in a while.
The bar has been set for people in American flag shirts if you ask me. A fugitive in Ohio was buying snacks at a convenience store when a man in American flag shirt recognized his face from a wanted ad and went into action with a heroic tackle.
Reports the New York Post:
Store employees told the owner that James David Myers tried to use change from his pocket to cover up his picture before he was tackled and tied up with rope off the shelf Thursday night, less than 24 hours after he was found to be missing from a prison about 8 miles away in Mansfield.
The prison and the State Highway Patrol have refused to discuss how Myers, who worked in the prison’s maintenance area, escaped before a headcount Wednesday, his 47th birthday.
Even though authorities said not to engage the fugitive, the hero Mark Cooper said eff it and took matters into his own hands anyway. Myers had originally gone to jail for kidnapping, rape, aggravated burglary and other charges. Real overachiever.
Cooper only had this to say: “f*ck yeah, America.” Then a bald eagle landed on his wrist while he cracked open a beer with his junk and sang the harmony to the White House Down score.
