Megan Fox was able to reconcile with Michael Bay after calling him Hitler during a series of weird exchanges between these two, so he cast her as April O’Neil in his and Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. At the time, TMNT co-creator Peter Laird said, “There are probably hundreds of better choices for the role of April O’Neil.” Now that we’ve seen the first batch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set pictures, we’re not sure what to believe anymore.
On the set at Gramercy Park in Manhattan, Megan Fox seems to be doing a segment about exercise for Channel 6. This involves jumping on a trampoline in spandex because of course it does. She can also be seen in other photos wearing an updated equivalent of the ’80s yellow jumpsuit.
You can check out more photos at The Daily Mail, Contact Music, Screen Crush, Superhero Hype, and CBM. Allow us to summarize them with a meme:
One of the photos, taken by Superhero Hype, also reveals which character Will Arnett is playing. When his casting was announced, we speculated he might play “a coworker/adversary of April O’Neil.” Here’s the reveal:
Will Arnett’s character will be Vernon Fenwick, the conniving cameraman of April O’Neil who tries to take credit for finding stories. Is this where I get to channel Nikki Finke and start screaming “TOLDJA!”? No. Let’s just move on.
Also cast in the film are Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, and Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opens June 6th, 2014.
