Earlier this month there was a rumor going around that the minstrelbots Skids and Mudflap were going to be in Transformers 3: The Long and Ridiculous Subtitle. The two even appeared to be in one of the trailers, prompting people to ask why any footage of them was shot if they won’t be in the movie. Michael Bay denied they’d be in the final cut of the film, and now he’s also putting a bounty on it. Sh-t just got real:
After the internet posting of a nice review by someone who saw Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the writer had not been clear on one thing. He misstated that the Twins are in the film. They are not. So I am offering a $25,000 REWARD to anyone who can find them performing in Transformers 3, on July 1, when the movie opens. [Michael Bay via Blastr]
But don’t worry; there will still be plenty of high-larious stereotypes presented as Transformers. We can still look forward to a robot with a mullet who turns into a NASCAR vehicle and another robot who’s hyperactive and named after a pejorative term for the handicapped. That wasn’t a joke. Mulletbot and “Spastic”* are real.
* They renamed it Over-Run.
