“The Original Supermodel” Naomi Campbell was a recent guest on The Morning Show in Australia, and hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies were curious to know what she thought of the recent controversy surrounding Kim Kardashian and Kanye West being on the cover of Vogue magazine. You know, as if that even qualifies as a controversy. I’d prefer to invent a new term for it, like a “whogivesatoot,” but there are a lot of people talking about it, and maybe an actual fashion icon can offer us some insight on this outright blasphemy.
But Campbell, ever the professional, not only wisely decided to play her “No comment” card, but when Gillies tried to squeeze some words into the model’s mouth, she saw it coming from a mile away and spat that nonsense right back at her.
There’s no shame in the Australian talk show game, because Gillies even admitted trying to set Campbell up. So maybe other celebrities should think about that before they agree to be guests on that show, because it’s a pretty dick move trying to make people look like jerks. Let’s leave that to the pros on cable news networks.
