Good news, America! Easter candy is no longer bound to the tyrannical confines of chewing because this Easter, you can now drink your Easter candy! Prairie Farms Dairy has teamed up with PEEPS® brand confections to bring the world marshmallow-flavored milk. I’m not exactly sure what that means because marshmallows are basically just made up of sugar, corn starch, and gelatin, but I guess “marshmallow-flavored milk” sounds better than just “sugar-flavored milk.” Marketing!
PEEPS® milk will come in three different varieties, so you can pick your poison. Here are the product descriptions from the Prairie Farms Dairy website:
PEEPS® Marshmallow Milk
The perfect blend of marshmallow flavor and real milk makes this cool and creamy drink a Spring favorite.PEEPS® Chocolate Marshmallow Milk
The perfect blend of both chocolate and marshmallow flavors make this cool and creamy drink a Spring favorite.PEEPS® Easter Egg Nog
Each glass of PEEPS® Easter Egg Nog boasts 5 grams of protein and 15 percent of the daily value of calcium, so go ahead and indulge.
I noticed that last description conveniently leaves out how many grams of sugar is in PEEPS® Easter Egg Nog, but f*ck it, indulge! If there’s ever been any beverage synonymous with good health and nutrition, it’s definitely “egg nog.” Like most delicious things that can eventually lead to Type 2 diabetes and heart disease, PEEPS® milk will only be available in the Midwest. But if it does well, and we’re really good this year, maybe the Easter Bunny will bring it to the right and left coasts next Easter.
