We have the first set photos showing three of the actors portraying Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in their mo-cap suits, along with pictures of Shredder’s Foot Clan (ain’t nothin’ to f-ck with). We’ve also learned William Fichtner is joining the rest of the cast. His role is unknown, but Deadline describes his character as “a lead with iconic stature in the Turtles’ mythology.” Some people are assuming that means Shredder, but we’re hoping he’s playing someone without a mask so we can actually see him act.
The set pictures may be a spoiler, so we’ve placed them under the cut.
It appears three of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been kidnapped by the Foot Clan. In their motion capture suits (and shells) are Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, and Jeremy Howard as Donatello. Missing is Alan Ritchson as Raphael, and there’s a potential explanation from /film.
It’s pretty obvious that Mike, Leo and Don have been captured by the Foot Soldiers. See the metal bindings at their wrists and ankles? I’d imagine these three Turtles get captured and it’s up to Raph, along with probably April, to break them out. Raphael out on his own is like pretty familiar story device as far as TMNT tales go.
Or maybe Raphael will just bail. We’ve heard he’s pretty rude.
All of the pictures below are from SuperHeroHype, and you can view the rest over there.
Hey, how’d they convince Kelsey Grammer to be the mold for the Foot Clan’s masks?
DAT ASS.
