Her hair is completely full of electric toothbrushes. Wait…wrong show.
I’m firmly on record as hating, hating, hating Star Trek Voyager. It single-handedly killed TV Trek for me (I only barely watched Enterprise and am ambivalent about the franchise ever returning to the small screen) so I’m always happy to tear down Captain Janeway and her insipid crew. That said, Kate Mulgrew, the woman who played Janeway, is a good actress (one of the best parts of Orange is the New Black) and always seemed a bit saner than some of the other ex-Trek captains.
So, it’s with mixed emotions that I have to report that Captain Janeway apparently thinks the Sun revolves around the Earth. Mulgrew is narrating The Principle, a conspiracy theory laden documentary that posits, amongst many other crazy things, that NASA is covering up the fact that the Sun revolves around the Earth. Check out a trailer for The Principle below and prepare to have your MIND BLOWN (by it’s stupidity)…
GUYS, GUYS, WE’RE SPECIAL. SPECIAL, SPECIAL, SPECIAL! GOD DOESN’T HAVE SOME OTHER PLANET OUT THERE, JUST US.
Oh, and hey, you know that balding, douchey looking dude dropping nonsense bombs about how scientists are afraid of God and NASA is taking down websites hinting at a geocentric universe? This guy?
That’s Robert Sungenis, notorious anti-Semite and Holocaust denier. Yeeeeah, this just got uncomfortable. Does Mulgrew actually believe this stuff? Is she just mindlessly cashing a paycheck? Best-case scenario, she signed up for this because she was tired of that episode of Voyager where she and Paris turn into pink salamanders and have lizard sex being the worst science fiction on her resume.
