Imagine relaxing on the beach on a gorgeous August afternoon, the warm glow of the sun on your skin, the fresh ocean air blowing through your hair, sounds of children’s laughter and the soft crashing of waves in the distance. Then imagine that picturesque moment being interrupted by a wild air castle who’s broken free from its strings and is tumbling across the shore, crushing everything in its path.
It’s not exactly The Blob, but it’s still pretty unnerving seeing such a colorful monstrosity just flopping about like it has a mind of its own. People frantically grab their belongings, parents gather their families to safety.
But this footage isn’t all about destruction — someone turned the whole bit into something of a silly, nightmarish game by brilliantly editing in a Katamari Damacy song. (In case you’re unfamiliar with the video game, it’s about a prince who “tries to rebuild the stars, constellations, and Moon” by “rolling a magical, highly adhesive ball called a katamari around various locations, collecting increasingly larger objects.”)
