Our hopes of seeing a good Wonder Woman movie or series have been repeatedly dashed of late. David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman TV show failed for obvious reasons. The CW was casting a Wonder Woman show called Amazon, but it’s been delayed for now. That leaves the Justice League movie, which has been having problems of its own. That’s where fledgling director Jesse V. Johnson comes in.
Jesse V. Johnson noticed the viral success of Kevin Tancharoen’s and Dan Trachtenberg’s short films. Tancharoen’s Mortal Kombat: Rebirth landed him TV and directing jobs, while Trachtenberg’s Portal: No Escape led to his hiring for Y The Last Man. Johnson, a stuntman and stunt coordinator, spent $3,500 and called in favors from talented friends to film the Wonder Woman action sequences he wanted to see.
In the video below, Danish singer Nina Bergman plays Wonder Woman, and she’s kicking some Nazi ass. You may recognize a couple of those Nazis. They’re Peter Stormare (Fargo, The Big Lebowski) and Timothy V. Murphy (Sons Of Anarchy).
I promise this version of Wonder Woman includes absolutely no pillow fights. Enjoy.
