The Miami Heat Are Apparently Counting On Chris Bosh To Return Next Season

Chris Bosh is a future Hall of Famer, and, at 32, should have a few more good years left in him for the Miami Heat.

However, the last couple of seasons have been cut short for Bosh because of issues with blood clots, which is something particularly concerning because there is potential for them to recur, and the condition isn’t as cut-and-dried as other health issues that impact athletes. Bosh ended the season on the bench, even though there were murmurings he might come back during the playoffs. Bosh’s health is still a question mark, but, according to Dan Le Batard of ESPN Radio, the Heat are expecting Bosh back for next season.

Le Batard, who is based in Miami and plugged into the South Beach sports scene, was originally talking about how the Heat didn’t know when, if ever, Bosh would be back, and suggesting that the team might push Bosh to retire. Then, he changed his tone.

“I just got a text saying that Bosh should be able to play next season. So, the Heat expect Bosh to be able to play next season,” he said, before reiterating, “What I’m telling you is that Bosh is committed to getting back, and the Heat are hopeful that that can be so.”

So, it seems at the moment the Heat have Bosh in their plans for next year. Of course, with his blood clot issues, that could change, but hopefully the information Le Batard got is right, and Bosh is able to play again.
