Exclusive: Adam Green calls ‘Frozen’ a ‘different type of horror movie’

“Frozen” will be coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray next week, and the kind folks at Anchor Bay have provided this  DVD extra exclusively to HitFix.

Drew McWeeny enjoyed it when he saw it at Sundance earlier this year, and as fall slips into winter, it may be a fun one to have in your collection. The film’s simple premise; being abandoned for a week on a ski lift in the dead of winter, conjures panic and horror of a decidedly non-supernatural type. The film stars Kevin Zegers (Dawn of the Dead remake, Wrong Turn), X-Men”s Shawn Ashmore and Emma Bell (Gracie) as three snowboarders who face this chilly predicament.

Our exclusive clip features filmmakers, director Adam Green (Hatchet) and DP Will Barratt  talking about the realities of being stuck on a ski-lift. The clip is from a longer DVD featurette called “Origins of Frozen.”
