Slash Performs The National Anthem With The USC Marching Band

The guys in Guns N’ Roses are friends again, unlike USC and UCLA, who — breaking news — still hate each other. They even have their own rivalry page on Wikipedia, in case you want to read about the schools’ water polo history. The Trojans and unranked Bruins played each other on Saturday, with USC pulling off a commanding 40-21 win, but before the game started, Slash played the National Anthem on his guitar with the USC marching band.

Yes, he still wore his hat. It’s a tradition.

We may be seeing a lot more Slash in the future. Thanks to Fred Durst, he and Axl Rose are on friendly terms again, with the guitarist telling Aftonbladet TV, “It was probably way overdue, you know. But it’s… you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative… dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.” When asked about a Guns N’ Roses reunion, he mumbled, “Oh, I couldn’t answer that one, though…”

Go on tour, guys. If not for your bank accounts, then for Francis Scott Key.
