Freddie Mercury Once Disguised Princess Diana As A Man And Snuck Her Into A Gay Bar

If Princess Diana’s status as a gay icon wasn’t already rock solid, this will certainly aid her cause: Former Queen frontman Freddie Mercury — coming to a stadium near you soon in hologram form — once dressed her up and drag and took her out for a big gay night out on the town.

Reports the Telegraph:

Comedian Cleo Rocos, Mercury and fellow comedian Kenny Everett dressed Diana in an army jacket, cap and sunglasses for a night out at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, south London, in the late 1980s.

“When we walked in… we felt she was obviously Princess Diana and would be discovered at any minute. But people just seemed to blank her. She sort of disappeared. But she loved it,” said Rocos, who co-starred in Everett’s television show. She made the claim her book “The Power of Positive Drinking” serialised in the Sunday Times.

She said she did not know whether Diana was propositioned in the bar in her guise as a male model, but added: “She did look like a beautiful young man.”

Now I’m questioning everything. Like, how do we know that’s not Princess Di in that Darth Vader suit up top? Well, HOW DO WE?!?!?!
