Mick Jagger Is Going To Be A Father Again At Age 73

The Rolling Stones‘ tireless ringleader, Mick Jagger, who turns 73 on July 26, and his girlfriend of two years, Melanie Hamrick, 29, will become parents together in the upcoming months. The newest member of the Jagger clan will be Jagger’s eighth child, and Hamrick’s first — and will be closest in age to Mick’s 2-year-old great-granddaughter. The Sun reports that a rep confirmed that Hamrick is at least three months pregnant.

The couple’s unborn child could inherit performing-arts talent from both parents: Hamrick, 29, is a dedicated and accomplished ballerina who is a company dancer with the prestigious American Ballet Theater in New York. Just last month she appeared in the Metropolitan Opera’s Swan Lake.

Jagger has shown little sign of slowing down at an age when many retire: He’s also been busy with the band as they record their first studio album in more than 10 years, and he’s gearing up to headline the ultimate ’60s rock and roll reunion at Desert Trip in the Coachella Valley in October.

He’s also not the only band member who’s going to be dealing with a baby: Ronnie Wood, at 68, became a dad again, after his wife Sally Humphreys gave birth to twin girls last month.
