YG Has His Own Version Of Scrabble And It’s As Ridiculous As It Sounds

YG has had quite a busy 2016. First, he gave us the definitive anti-Donald Trump anthem, and now he’s gotten into the board game business. Yes, last night, while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, YG introduced us to his own version of Scrabble. His version of the game is a lot more challenging than the original for one reason: the only letters are you can use are….well, you can probably guess.

It would seem difficult to spell to many words using the letters “y” and “g,” but as YG points out, you can spell plenty of words, like “ggggyygg” and “ygygyg.” The best part of the bit is watching him confidently pronounce these words, as though they are naturally part of our vocabulary. He tells us that these are actual words with such confidence that for a second, you almost want to believe him. For someone without a comedic background, he has a surprisingly natural delivery. And who knows, maybe somewhere down the line, Webster’s will be forced to add “gyygyy” to the dictionary.

YG also performed on the show, giving us a medley of “Why You Always Hatin'” and “Still Brazzy,” off his album of the same name, which was released to critical acclaim in June.
