Right now I'm just trying to kill some time in the faint hope that 289 — who's on the road to Chicago right now — gets online in time to do some Photoshopping for a couple of stories that really shouldn't be written about without his imagery.
So, while we wait, let's go ahead and throw the first shovelful of dirt on the Chicago Bulls' coffin, as they blew a 19-point lead at home last night in losing to the Pistons 81-74. The Bulls are now three games in the hole in the best-of-seven series, and have yet to look like a marginally competent team since sweeping the Heat out of the playoffs a million years ago.
It's a game I missed, and a game I'm not sorry about missing. The Pistons shot 39.5% from the field; the Bulls 33.7%. Of the 18 players who got on the floor last night, only one shot over 50% from the field (Tayshaun Prince, 23 points on 9-of-16). There were 7 fast break points scored. Total.
Yikes. Thank God the Warriors-Jazz will get that boring taste out of our mouths tonight.
