To say that LaVar Ball grates on just about everyone’s nerves is pretty much a pointless endeavor these days. To lament his shameless self-promotion or his borderline exploitation of his talented children in order to live vicariously through them is likewise a futile enterprise. Thanks to his inexplicable staying power, he’s isn’t going away anytime soon.

But that hasn’t stopped certain folks around the league from small but salient acts of protestation. Enter Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Ahead of Milwaukee’s Sunday matinee against the Nets in Brooklyn, the Greek Freak was generously signing autographs for his adoring fans when he noticed a kid who had on a Big Baller Brand t-shirt.

After a little lighthearted ribbing, the young fan made out with quite a souvenir as Giannis gave him the hoodie off his back to cover up the BBB logo.

The Bucks ended up beating the Nets 109-94, and Giannis finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists for the game. The last month or so has been a whirlwind for Antetokounmpo, which included the firing of his coach Jason Kidd, being named to his second All-Star team, and a game-winner against the Knicks on Friday.

Though the early MVP chatter around him has cooled significantly amid the Bucks’ inconsistency, Milwaukee still holds the No. 5 spot in the East and could be a sleeper team in the postseason with Jabari Parker making his way back from a devastating ACL injury.
