The Indiana Pacers Mascot Lost His Head While Performing A Front Flip

In lucha libre (a version of professional wrestling most popular in Mexico and other Latin American countries), a luchador — the wrestler — losing their mask is the greatest possible shame they can experience. The identity of the wrestler, once a closely guarded secret, becomes public knowledge. It is not a laughing matter, but a grave occurrence.

Luckily, Boomer is not a luchador, but the mascot for the Indiana Pacers. When the head of his costume came flying off after a front flip, it did not bring great shame. It probably just brought a little embarrassment, and Pacers fans will quickly forget about the impromptu reveal.
