It Looks Like Newly Single Nick Young Subtweeted The Hell Out of D’Angelo Russell

On Tuesday, Foot Locker dropped a new ad that featured young NBA players like Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker, and D’Angelo Russell giving advice to presumptive No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons about how to handle his rookie season.

While Towns and Booker told Simmons how hard he’ll have to work to make it in the league, Russell’s advice was to throw his phone away, an obvious reference to his infamous taping of Nick Young admitting to cheating on Iggy Azalea.

The commercial is hilarious, but Young, who recently was dumped by the “Fancy” singer because of “trust issues” didn’t think so, and he took to his Twitter to subtweet his ex-teammate and his new commercial.

You can certainly see why Young doesn’t find it funny, as it was his life that got directly influenced by Russell snitching on him. On the other hand, if Swaggy P hadn’t cheated in the first place, none of this would have ever happened.

The young Lakers point guard still has a ways to go to get back the trust of his teammates (which Young will assuredly not be one of next year), but showing that he is able to mock his screw up is the first step — even if Young doesn’t approve.
