Stephon Marbury Posterized By “Chinese Shaq,” But Later Seals The Game With Clutch Play

Thankfully, Stephon Marbury has drastically reduced his Vaseline intake over the past few years. His career has also been reincarnated in China, where he’s become something of a folk hero and celebrated with a bronze statue and an absurd theatrical production in his honor.

He’s won two championships with his Beijing Ducks and could be headed for a third title as they are currently tied 2-2 with the Liaoning Flying Leopards in the CBA Championship series.

This is in no small part due to Marbury’s inspired play, which was in full effect as he scored 36 points and made several clutch plays down the stretch to help seal their 111-110 win on Wednesday to tie the series. He also heroically tried to block this dunk by 7′ 1, 300-pound Han Dejun, aka “The Chinese Shaq.”
