Drake has done his best to keep keep his joint Summer Sixteen tour with Future in the news, from dissing DJ Funk Flex and radio station Hot 97 during the New York stop to bringing out Eminem in Detroit to parading out NBA champion LeBron James in Columbus and so forth. Back in July, the “One Dance” rapper announced he was working on a new mixtape and over the weekend, Drake told the Tacoma, Washington crowd he’s still hard at work.

“I’ve been on this tour,” Drake said. “I’m recording new music. I’m about maybe six or seven new songs in, maybe, you know what I’m saying. Just getting warmed up. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it, I don’t know what it’s going to be.”

This new music could be for any number of projects. Drake’s teased album with Kanye West has been confirmed by Yeezy himself and Metro Boomin’ may have let the cat out of the bag about a sequel to Drake and Future’s highly successful What a Time To Be Alive project.

What we do know, thanks to Atlanta producer Zaytoven, is Future’s first single from his forthcoming Beast Mode 16 mixtape features Drake, and it should be arriving in two weeks.
